SPEAKER_00

Thank you for having me here today. I'm so excited to share my story.

SPEAKER_01

Why don't you start off by telling everybody a little bit about yourself?

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, I am growing up in Qiang Rai, Thailand, in the country with no running water, no power, no electric city, in the middle of nowhere. And the the journey is just it's just so different to grow up in the small village with with you know just a community base is so strong. And then when I move to Canada here, I think it's over two decades now. And then when I come to Canada here, I just go coming to different cultures. It's totally uh learning new skills and just try to navigate life, right? It's the end of the day, we are, you know, what we're gonna do in life, what we want to be, what you're gonna do, and then that question you have to ask yourself so much. And I gone through a lot of things before I come to real life that actually is so important to look back to yourself and ask yourself what you like to do in your lifetime, that that life that you have here, what you want to share to other people and find your purpose in life that you have, that what you like to do. Actually, at the end of the day, it's just what you like to do and when you're doing having fun and enjoy to what you do. And I start my my business in Canada. When I come here, I see a lot of gap. It's a lot of self-care here, a slightly different in my country. People literally, really care for the inside out, right? For my body and spirit. Massage is part of routine over there. And self-care for uh inner peace and for my sin spirit is part of uh self-care as well. When it comes here in North America, people literally didn't take time to reconnect to themselves and to care. The level of care are not the same. That wise, I really want to share that culture and what I grew up to, the Western here, and that what I opened the first location in 2005. It's just I want people to feel transport to Thailand without getting on an airplane. They have sense they can care of, and I want to educate people that self-care is part of life. You should not feel guilty to care for your health and well-being. It should be it should be your responsibility to take care of yourself, right? Just don't let it be. Uh don't just try to cry to it. If you're like the come down to the care, right? For caring is like it's it's you cannot witness your future success if you're not there. You cannot enjoy your family if you're not there. You cannot do anything in the future if you're not there. That's why your health care is so important to take care of your mind, body, and spirit. That along the journey that you go along is enjoyable. Your life is like a like a book. It's a chapter of the book, right? Your journey. You should enjoy along the way and care for your body. You need to learn how to care for yourself, that you care for others. You need to learn to be thankful yourself, that you can, you know, share your thankfulness to others, you need to learn to be gratitude, and then you can be gratitude to other people. It's just learn to sharing. And that is uh uh gratitude is the most important thing in daily routine, daily practice. Start right from the beginning when you wake up, right? When you wake up, you know, usually for me, I first thing in the morning I'd like to do is what I feel gratitude to. Three things. Three things I feel gratitude to, and then three things that I can looking forward to today. And three deep breaths, and then then you have the first hour for yourself after that. You get up and do your morning exercise and just set your tone for the day, and so important to invest that time before your day start you, you start your day like that.

SPEAKER_01

Well, I know that uh in transformation, there's a defining moment. So, what was the moment that you realized you could use your pain to um as as someone's path to healing?

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, when you grow up, it's in in a in a small country, we have a lot of family. We when they move to the city in Bangkok, I have a lot of you know, family members and then just, you know, I had a lot of friends, you know. I just lost my friend, lost my pat and my dog, and just go to like to get started in the business, it just fell on the business and the and the one in I started in Bangkok too. It's just the pain that you have to go to and the learning curve on that area. And then, and then when you look back, because it's many years went by when you look back later on, actually, all those pain or stuff that you have or the failure, anything you get to and that thing is it's nothing, it's just that moment, and that moment is past anyway. When you look back, it's is it's okay. And then what I learned from it is learn to let it go and learn to to ignore and acknowledge your past is the past that being had happened, that you cannot change them. The only thing you can learn from them is just the wisdom, and then use that wisdom to be your learning, and then just to accept and acknowledge and then move on. The most important that what I learned now is to enjoy the moment, your your present, your moment is, and that is how you live in enjoyable life, is the moment, is actually enjoy the small thing in the moment, because the small thing, when you look back, they can become a big thing later on, and the future and have not come yet. That is uh the moment is is how you shape the future. If you get yourself healthy, care for your health, and take care of your body, take care of your mind, and then you can be part of the future. That's uh I think this uh how you get to the pain is to to acknowledge pain. Just get through the pain, acknowledge them, and then and then know that this moment will pass and let them pass, and then just learn to move on. Yes, enjoy the small little thing in in life, day-to-day stuff, and then just just enjoy that moment and the future. Just just don't worry about it. Just try to make the right decision on today. Today is the day that you can shape the future. Yeah, do everything in good tension.

SPEAKER_01

Well, looking back on your most difficult season, what lesson seemed impossible to understand back then? But today has become one of your greatest gifts.

SPEAKER_00

Yes. Yeah, when you learn from it and when your past actually is when you learn from that, actually is is it's actually everything is become the gift. You can find the good thing in the worst thing, like even in the worst situation, and actually it could become the best thing. For me, before when you're in it, doesn't feel like it, but actually, because what that was have happened to me is that pain that have gone through the stuff, but actually that makes me to go to a different direction. The direction that I go is better. You know what I mean? The um sometime you don't get stuck. Oh, this thing, uh, oh, bad thing happened to me. It doesn't mean the end of your war. Actually, it's not. It's not the end of the war, and actually it's just the beginning of it. You just get to choose, making a new choice. Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

Well, I know that uh many people have emotional wounds that were never addressed. So talk about why you feel that healing is so off uh often avoided and what uh finally forced you to face your own healing.

SPEAKER_00

I yeah, I think that most of us just live living into the I think the uh the mental mental roof, like I keep looping back and forth. It's something if you get, you know, get your wound, the wound only, you know, you get get that wound only one, but if your mind keep going back there, you keep reopening your own wound, your own pain, your own suffer, and you keep going back there again. And now the person that who hurt you, or the person who involved in that, it's long gone. But now you the one that hang on to that pain, that wound, and then keep going back in your own mental loop that keep looping back and forth and coming back to leave you sitting open and carry that pain sometime at the childhood, sometime whatever in the teenager, whatever that happened until your whole life. How about you learn from it and you make a choice? You learn to let it go, learn to let go. If someone involved on that, you learn to forgive, formally forgive the person who involved into that pain. You just accept and formal. It doesn't mean you accept what that happened to you, but you it had happened, you ignore it, and that happened, and you just learn to accept and that already did happen. You know what I mean? It's just that just learn to let go. And to learn to forgive other people is very uh, very difficult, very challenging already. But more difficult, more challenging is learn to forgive yourself. To able to forgive yourself that you can let go. Only thing to move forward is to let it go and forgive yourself. You don't carry that baggage, you don't carry that wound with you, you don't carry your pain with you, and then you just move on. To be able to forgive yourself, and then you can move on. And then that when the light starts to come in, you feel more lighter, you can think more clearly, you can see, you can see your your future better and you can make a better decision. Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

Well, I know you've dedicated your work to helping others reconnect with themselves. So in today's fast-paced world, what what do you feel is causing so many people to lose touch with who they are?

SPEAKER_00

Uh I believe people just like you said, in this world, uh we have so many fast-paced living, so many expectations, so many social media that you just comparison yourself to other, you look at other people's social media just so perfect all the time, but it that is leo, you know.

unknown

I don't know.

SPEAKER_00

It just it just just it's so much of that information that's coming in. But what is this, those information that coming in, it just it just you just scroll to things, scroll to social media, score to your time. You're just wasting a lot of your time into that that world, and then you disconnect to yourself, because yourself are actually the most important thing is is yourself should be number one, right? You have to reconnect to yourself. To be able to reconnect to yourself with a fast-paced life like this, like you need to take time. For me, it's uh the golden hours, the one hour for yourself. For me, I just one hour in the morning, right? Be started, you know, it's like uh I always three rule in the morning, you know. Usually I cow to three seconds, you know, three deep breaths, three things that I feel grateful for, three things I'm looking forward to, and get up and get the morning before anyone else give yourself a gift every day is buying disconnect to everything. You can turn off the phone to your son, you just don't open your email, don't open your social media, it's just just have that moment. And that moment you can start your day with yourself. And that day you will save your your time, you will save your life later on, because you set your tone for your day, you you get yourself able to focus on on yourself, and it's help you to think differently in throughout the day. If something hard comes in, something that unexpected throw at you, and you are stable enough to handle it.

SPEAKER_01

Doing your darkest moments, was that someone who believed in you? Or did uh you you have to, you know, be that person and believe in yourself and do everything on your own?

SPEAKER_00

Yes. Yeah, in in life, you know, everyone like it at some point in lifetime, everyone will go into that that that difficult time, unpreasent moment, you know, being bitter, being painful, being feared, being unwanted, being broken. We all feel those unprecedent moments in a different timeline. We're all gonna get there. The only thing to get ourselves out there is yourself. Yes, you have some loved one, you have anything at the end of the day. Bottom line is you have to be there for yourself when that hard time comes. And look inside yourself. Take a deep breath in, and then just let that thought go into you. Let them come in. It's like a crowd, right? There's some beautiful sunny day, you don't have a crowd. Sometimes you have thunderstorms, sometimes they have, you know, overcasts and things like that. Your thought is the same. You just have to observe them and acknowledge, and those things are coming in and let them pass to you. And then you, okay, now I'm in pain. I'm un you know, I feel unloved, I feel unwanted, I feel anything, and now just acknowledge and then the end. Okay, I love myself, I care for me, I take care of myself, and all this stuff here, and this moment will pass, and it will pass and then let it go. And you have to believe in that and then just trust it, and there will be it, it will pass.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, well, what are some of the biggest misconceptions people have about emotional resilience and how to build emotional resilience?

SPEAKER_00

You start with one small thing, you can start with just consistency routine. Every morning you can do three deep breaths in. Like, you know, just do one thing, three minutes and just start with small. And every time if something comes up to you before you're opening the mouth or before you get anything, just take a three deep breath in and just just listen to that that thought coming in first, and that will create a gap. When you create that gap, and now actually you can bring yourself down to calm soil, you know.

SPEAKER_01

Tell us about any upcoming projects that you're working on that listeners need to be aware of.

SPEAKER_00

My project that I'm working on for me now, I have so much passion to help people to have a longevity and become better worship of themselves. I want people to feel good, look good, and then just just become calmer, kinder to themselves and sell love. And that's why I offer the uh the sabai tai spa that people can come in to reconnect to themselves, come and get massage once a week, disconnect everything, that moment, even small amount, even once a week or one every two weeks. Sorry, and then that moment is even you just come in once a week to reconnect to yourself, that moment is what help you to become more calm, more kind, you become more kind to yourself, you go back home, you become more kinder to your kid, your husband. It just even some moment, it's amazing. If you care for yourself, the outcome are so much better. You become better worship than yourself, you can think clearly, you become better decision-making, you just become more kinder. If you're kinder to yourself, you will kinder to the person around you, and then you're better for your community as well. That's what I like to see. Sabai Tai spa everywhere, every community that people can experience. And then also just want to educate people, to let people know that it's okay to take care of yourself. Don't feel bad, don't feel guilty to care for yourself. Your responsibility to care for yourself because your body is like your like a car. You you know, if you want to live longer, you have to take care of it. The car, you take the oil chain, you go clean, you do maintain, that the car can run for longer. The body exactly the same. We need to go in and care for uh our body, that our body can stay with us for longer. Yeah, and that's what my purpose now just want to help many people as much as possible to become healthier and become a better version of themselves.

SPEAKER_01

Well, so people can keep up with everything that you're up to, they'll have your contact info.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, yeah, and then yeah, and right now we are expanding across Canada now. We will have more opportunity for people to experience and yeah, massage. I don't know how often you go and get massage yourself.

SPEAKER_01

Uh I I used to uh actually work and massage and do massages, but I don't go very much uh due to the cost.

SPEAKER_00

Well, I think I don't know about that though. We if you wallow your health and the life, you know, if you invest if you go every weekly, can you what you what do you think if you go get massage every single week, the less of your life, what do you think the outcome would be?

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, I'm I'm I mean it would be great because like I say, I I used to do uh Swedish massage. Uh do you guys have a website?

And today is a new day, it's a new beginning, and start with your purpose, what's your passion, and then just create persistence and keep going.
